This beautiful sterling silver pendant by artist, Rosella Paxson, showcases a 1937 Indian head nickel. The nickel is surrounded by purple spiny oyster shell and Rosella’s signature wire work to create a striking cluster. The bail has a 15mm opening for your favorite chain or beads. All together, the pendant measures 3-5/8 inches tall and 2-5/8 inches wide.
Rosella S. Paxson is originally from Whiteriver, AZ but currently resides in Albuquerque, NM. She is a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe on the Ft Apache Reservation. When we asked her about her craft recently, she was very humble, but she said “I have been silversmithing for over 20 years, and enjoy every minute of it... making a piece of jewelry and putting your thoughts of design into the piece you’re making whether it's earrings, rings, bracelets or pendants….it's unique...I am thankful and blessed to have become a silversmith.”
